About Us

GDB Software, Inc. began research and development for computer software designed specifically for the concrete industry in 1986.

A. Deal Beck Concrete in Phoenix, Arizona initiated this software by first replicating drawings by hand then by computer with the first release of AutoCAD in 1982. Its private use was for excavation layout, corrected foundation plans and forming layouts.

GDB's first commercial products, Auto Crete (a computer-aided design program for concrete) and Estimate Concrete Software (a complete concrete estimating program) were introduced to the industry at the 1987 World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Over the years, development of this software included the ideas, input and requests of concrete companies, wall contractors, forming manufacturers and form rental companies nationwide.

After 35 years, Auto Crete and Estimate Concrete Software still follow the original principles and concepts that have made GDB Software the leader in concrete and wall contractors' computer software, yet the drive to constantly improve and simplify our products remains just as focused.

As technology improves and evolves, so does GDB's software.
